We are a thriving, family-run pub at the foot of the Cotswolds, tucked away in the village of Little Somerford, near historic Malmesbury.

As a free house, our ethos is to create a pub with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere that we would come to ourselves. Somewhere that serves excellent, unpretentious food, fantastic beer and wine while at the same time offering great value for money and accessible for all to enjoy.

Sourcing mainly local ingredients and supporting neighbouring farms and producers, we want to reduce food miles and reflect the great British seasons in their dishes. We have achieved much since taking over the pub in December 2019 and have exciting plans for the future.

We are always interested in innovative, inspirational hospitality or pub people to join our passionate team and help drive our ambition to be a ‘must visit’ pub destination in the Cotswolds.

Front of House Supervisor - Full Time - New role April 2024

Who you are:

You are already a successful Front of House leader or supervisor with a least 2 years experience where you can demonstrate a track record of delivering excellence in both customer service and team management. 


What you will do:

  • Confidently and efficiently run both lunch and dinner services, maintaining high customer service standards
  • Be able to work as part of a team or alone
  • Drive sales and maximize  the diary
  • Assist management in the day to day running of the pub alongside the trainee supervisor

What you will need:

  • A determination to deliver success every time
  • A strong sense of humour and camaraderie
  • Have a natural eye for FOH operations
  • Experience of till management, cashing up and online booking systems

The Package:

  • £12 per hour with tip share
  • Staff discount

Who you are:

You are already an innovative and passionate head or lead chef with a minimum of 2/3+ years experience working in small or medium sized team in a busy professional kitchen 


What you will do:

  • Prepare and cook our full service menus for Lunch and Dinner
  • Be responsible for managing ordering, stock control and general stores management
  • Have meticulous attention to food standards and hygiene with a methodical, organised & tidy approach
  • Be a cool character and team player under pressure in a small team

What you will need:

  • An instinctive passion for cooking
  • A strong sense of humour and camaraderie
  • Intermediate level 2 Food Health & Safety or NVQ Level 1/2

The Package:

Package salary starting at £25-30k per annum with tip share, dependent on experience, pension, 25% off food & drink, performance bonus and 5 day week with balanced shifts & 2 days off. Live-in package available.
