About us

Scott and Rachel fulfilled their dream and became masters of their own destiny when they took over the Somerford Arms in December 2019.

With Scott’s 30 year pedigree as a chef, the idea was to open an unpretentious, relaxed pub serving the best quality food and drink for all to enjoy – it’s now a reality with the pub going from strength to strength.

With exciting plans for the future they see the pub developing and evolving further with the help and support of the fantastic team around them.

Don’t miss out!

We have so much going on down here at The Somerford Arms it would be a shame to miss out, click here to keep in the know.

Wow…What a gem! In theses days to find a pub that is still open is something – to find one that’s delivering food and drink like these guys is awesome. Great experience – keep it up!

We were travelling from London to Pembrokeshire, and we’re looking for somewhere to take a break and refuel without diverting miles from the M4. Suffice to say that Somerford Arms is now firmly saved in our GPS. What a secret bolthole!  Exceptional food, and even better service – Rachel, you and your team are outstanding. You’ll be seeing more of us x
Camilla
“What a lovely idea to literally prepare a meal we suggested! Asked for a Lobster Thermidor for the beloved’s special day and there it was  – done. Just brilliant – very envious glances from the next door table who couldn’t find it on the menu anywhere.”
Deborah Tomalin
“Perfect in every way – food, service, care and attention – Thank you.”
Paul
“As amazing as always, thank you.”
Barbara
“Amazing Sunday lunch, best in Wiltshire! Great variety of veg and really tasty too, probably wont need to eat for a few days now!”
Charles R
“One really has to go a very long way indeed these days to find a spot where you can sit and have a proper but of scoff in a place that actually still feels like a country pub. 1st class pint too Landlord by the way.”
Shelia
“Such a lovely atmosphere and really friendly, professional staff. Food is so fab!”
Tynnan
“Went down to watch the 6 nations final as someone had said it was on – never been before. Top snug bar for sports and tasty nibbles. Flip side was the Mrs came and picked me up and now we’re going for Sunday lunch”
Sara & Daphy
“Such bliss – out riding together and we got caught in this frightful downpour. Got to the SA just before we drowned and were able to dry out in front of their lovely fire whilst being waited on hand and foot with scrummy scoff and a rather cheeky white burgundy…better than home – just fab – we’ll be back”!
Lucy B
“What wonderful staff. My mum’s very nervous about eating out as she has a lot of allergies. They really took their time to explain everything carefully to her and set her mind to rest without making her feel she was a bother. She’d a lovely meal as did we. ”
Luciana
“Very welcoming staff. I made a mistake & booked for 2 people but completely ignored the fact that my 1 year old would need a seat! The staff were prompt to find us a bigger table & a very good child seat for my son. The food was delicious & the food was superb.”
Ralph Brennion
“We had a long delayed works outing to the Arms. It was brilliant – 15 of us in our own special area with great food that all arrived as pre-ordered, on time and absolutely stunning. Cracking ales too! Without exception I’d recommend Rachel and her lovely team to anyone who’s planning that special get together.”
Barry the Fox
“Here’s place that’s thought pretty carefully about what a decent pub should deliver and boy do they deliver. Why can’t all pubs think about what customers want and not what’s easy to do!”
Tara P
